The Port of Miami Tunnel structural gateway represents one of the most vital infrastructural veins in South Florida, connecting the MacArthur Causeway to Dodge Island. Serving over 11 million transit passengers, cruise tourists, and cargo logistics operators annually, this gateway demands a visually arresting landmark presence that mirrors Miami's dynamic identity. This project achieves that monumental presence by transforming the raw, brutalist concrete tunnel facades into living canvasses of light, geometry, and typography. By engineering a custom architectural Gobo projection system, the installation superimposes crisp, vibrant multi-tonal light rays and classical typographic relief onto the concrete structure, framing the journey into the heart of the city's maritime center.
